In April 2013 an innocent family lost everything in a devastating house fire. News of this story came from a musician friend of mine, Greg Barry, who had just returned from doing some work in western Canada. He had met this family on his travels. When I heard about the fire, I wanted to do what I could to help, and as you can see by the photo below, so did a bunch of other Ontarians. None of us had ever met the victims, but donations of clothing came pouring in. Greg arranged pick up and shipping – even Greyhound offered discounted shipping rates. Warms my heart!
More about the fire, and how you can help, can be found here.
